  What is Obesity? Obesity is a health condition that is on the rise globally and very much so Ghana. Most people live with Obesity but unfortunately as a result of less education on the disease, they are not aware until it gets complicated. Obesity is simply, having excessive or high percentage of body fat in your system. Obesity is largely preventable because it is mostly caused by our daily life styles.   How do I know if I am at risk of a possible Obesity? An individual with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 and above is considered obese and needs to consider looking at his/life style. Body Mass Index is the value derived from the mass (weight) and height of your body. Simply calculated by dividing your body weight by your height expressed in kg/m^2. You might want to do this to have an idea of where you stand as far as Obesity is concerned. All you need is your body weight and height.
