Cardiovascular disease is very preventable and many who pay attention to their life cycle growing up turns to avoid and limit the threats that lead to the menace.

1. Avoid Smoking of all forms
Study has shown that, in every 5 cases of cardiovascular disease, at least one is caused by smoking. Smoking does not only cause lung cancer but also heart disease and stroke.
What smoking does is, it leads to the blockade of blood vessels and heart tissues, lowers good cholesterol (HDL) resulting in high blood pressure which can cause premature death.
2. Stay Active Daily:
Staying active on daily basis(exercise) is one surest way of avoiding heart related diseases.
Just as all muscles, the heart is one and therefore must be worked regularly so as for it to stay strong and active. The more active you stay daily, the more fat you burn which substantially allows proper flow of blood keeping the heart healthy..
A minimum exercise of 30 minutes daily is good enough..
3. Taking Healthy Diet
The popular adage “ you are what you eat” is so true when it comes to maintaining a healthy heart. One surest way to fight cardiovascular diseases is eating well.
Healthy diet includes: low fat dairy products ,vegetables and fruits, grains, nuts and legumes just to mention few.
A study in Europe revealed that, when you eat eight servings of vegetables and fruits daily, ie for instance one small carrot 🥕 , half a banana 🍌 or one small apple 🍏 , after meal, you are very much on the verge of avoiding cardiovascular conditions.

5. Keep a healthy blood pressure
Hypertension or high blood pressure is when the force with which blood flows through your blood vessel is continually too high. This can lead to the damage of your blood vessels can lead to heart attack, stroke, heart failure and other serious health conditions..
Maintaining your blood pressure within healthy limits therefore reduces the strains on your heart and arteries which keeps you heart healthier.
It is therefore imperative to regularly check your blood pressure regularly to avert any serious emerging complications.
6. Maintaining a healthy blood sugar level
Most often than not, the food we eat is digested into glucose (blood sugar) that body uses for energy uses.
High level of blood sugar can damage your heart , kidneys and and increases the risk of diabetes.
To control your blood sugar, eat breakfast , involve protein,grains and fibers in your meals.
