“There is nothing in our records concerning that. What you read is what I have read. We don’t have anything recorded here for Sir John as far as our records are concerned,” the Executive Secretary of the Lands Commission James Dadson told the media on Monday.
This comes after a leaked Will of the late Chief Executive officer of the Forestry Commission Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie (Sir John) founds its way on social media amid fears of the sale of the Achimota Forest by government which has caused a lot anxiety in the general public.
The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources in a press statement by the Minister denied the allegations.
However, the surfacing of the WILL of the late chief executive officer of the forestry commission has strongly reinforced the section of the public who believes the land had already been sold.
It is in the response to this that the Executive Secretary of the Lands Commission has also come out to state that their outfit has no record to that effect. It is unclear how the late sir John acquired the said land in Achimota Forest
